Slide #1 - Think outside of the box
The following slides were presented in conjunction with a 15 minutes speech given by Jay Taylor at the New York Institutional Gold Conference on June 2, 2004. Click on any of the slides to see an enlarged picture. Also, you can download the slide show in Power Point here (10.23 MB).
In 2000, the bear market in equities began. From January 1, 2000, through March 31, 2004, $1,000 invested in J Taylor's Model Portfolio would have grown to $2,176. That same amount invested in the S&P 500 would have decreased to $767. The superiority of Jay's portfolio was not achieved by listening to Kudlow & Cramer or Abby Joseph Cohen or scores of other CNBC establishment pundits. Rather, it was achieved by Jay's inclination to question establishment views and to think outside of the box.
