Slide #7 - Photo of John Exter ' pro-gold central banker and deflationist
John Exter was an ex-Harvard professor, central banker, Citi-Corp senior executive, and member of the Council of Foreign Relations. He believed that we must anchor our currency to gold or else we would ultimately run our economy into deflationary collapse. John was instrumental in helping the Philippines and Sri Lanka establish central banks. He was perhaps the only member of the Council of Foreign Relations to suggest that we should abandon fiat money in favor of gold as money.
